So, I'm on vacation.
Well, not exactly. I'm at a work conference.
And much to my dismay, I can't cook in the hotel room. Although, this morning I made a dainty little packet of oatmeal with a green tea K-cup, a styrofoam cup, and a coffee stirrer. Lap of luxury right there, folks, but not exactly blog-worthy.
And since I'll be back on Wednesday just in time to run away to the Hamptons for my birthday weekend (OMG so excited), I've decided to officially declare Type A Kitchen closed for the week, and report back next week fresh and rested. And hungry.
Instead, I'll leave you with links to a few of my favorite summer recipes. Some are mine, and some come courtesy of my favorite online friends. Most of whom don't even know I exist, but that's a minor, insignificant detail.
Marinated Steak and Veggie Kabobs - This marinade will blow your mind.
Sausage, Feta, and Zucchini Casserole - Is your zucchini patch out of control? Answer. Genius combo.
Fish Tacos - Favorite fish taco recipe. Favorite! Add a Corona and you define Heaven.
Boozy Popsicles - I WILL be making these in the Hamptons this weekend. I may or may not have purchased a $20 plus $6.95 in S&H popsicle making kit just for the occasion.
Lighter Side Pasta Salad - No mayo! And pretty colors.
Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookies - Lighten up for summer if you must.
Have a great week!
