Vacation's over, back to reality.
I hate that phrase. It is hopelessly overused! But, I'm using it anyway because it's always the most applicable thing to say once the reality sets in that two weeks of vacation are over. Monday sits there staring at me just WAITING to remind me that I am not, in fact, lounging on the beach at the current moment sipping a Mojito/Gin and Tonic/Beach Wave.
Our annual trip to Ocean City, MD, and Bethany Beach, DE, has been quite an eventful one this year, complete with an earthquake, a hurricane, and a wedding. I'm not entirely sure which one of those events shook my brain loose the most, but I'm pretty convinced I need to start planning another vacation stat.
So while I'm slowly getting reacquainted with "reality" over here, (and simultaneously looking up tropical resort deals in Mexico), I'll make you a promise to get cooking again once I go grocery shopping and get my house in order. Pasta with Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Rabe anyone? See, I knew you couldn't stay mad.
In the meantime, here's a peek at some of the views we enjoyed on our vacation, along with a few bites from the road. I included links to recipes where I could, but the rest was made off the top of our heads, so email me with questions! I'd be glad to share the recipes!
